Hülya Özdemir is a Turkish artist born in Istanbul who creates colorful watercolors with an exotic flavor. Her subjects are beautiful women all very different from each other, authentic and unique, that stands out against the backdrop of abstract backgrounds.
The pivotal point of Hülya’s artistic research is to highlight the various struggles that women undertake every day towards the society that today, like yesterday, are still dominated by men. As she herself states:
“[They] are imprisoned in a role based on the maintenance of all its norms: tradition, morality and family”.
